PRESIDENT'S PRESS RELEASE: Samuels “St Lucia will be depending on its heavy forward pack to soften up the opposition…”

SLRFU President Colvis Samuels talks ahead of B.V.I game:

St Lucia will be depending on its heavy forward pack to soften up the opposition to allow the fast and elusive backs to baffle the visitors and score to win the match. However, this may be easier said than done since the BVI team is known for its rough and tumble style which will make the game very tough and exciting since both teams will be going at it tooth and nail for the victory. The winner will move on to the second round where Curacao awaits having defeated St Vincent in their first round fixture.

The St Lucia team comprises of a mix of experienced and new but very talented and determined players many of whom are from the west and east of the island. Preparation for the match has been taking place mainly on the Micoud field which is central to the spread of players around the island.

Please come out and support the local gladiators.
